Privacy Policy

Live Better AI (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who we share it with.

Information we collect

To build and personalize your meal plans, we collect:

• Account details — your name and email address. If you sign in with Apple or Google, they share your name and email with us; Apple lets you hide your real address behind a private relay address, and that works here.
• Meal-planning profile — the answers you give during setup: household size and members, cooking preferences, budget, and your food preferences and dietary restrictions and allergies. Allergen information is health-adjacent and we treat it with care; it is used only to keep unsafe ingredients out of your plans.
• Body statistics and goals — if you provide them, figures such as height, weight, activity level, and calorie or weight goals, used to size your plans.
• Images you upload — photos of a fridge, a receipt, or a recipe you import. These are processed to extract items or recipe details and are not used for any other purpose.
• Usage data — your plans, saved recipes, swipes, and inventory, so the product can remember your taste and pantry.

Before you create an account

You can set up your first week — and swipe a short deck of recipes — before an account exists. While you do, your answers are saved only on your device; they become your profile the moment you create the account, and if you never do, they never reach us. Two things do touch our servers during setup: the recipes you are shown (we do not record anonymous swipes), and, if you look up a grocery store, the ZIP code you type, which we pass to Instacart to list nearby stores and do not link to you.

How we use your information

We use your information to build and personalize meal plans and grocery lists, remember your taste and pantry, process payments, and communicate with you about your account. We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

To deliver the service we share data with a small set of processors:

• Apple, for purchases made in the app.If you subscribe in the iPhone app, Apple sells the subscription and handles the payment. We never see your card number, and Apple does not send us your name, billing address, or payment details. Apple gives us a transaction identifier and the state of your subscription — which plan, whether it is active, when it renews — so we can unlock your account and keep it accurate. What Apple itself does with the purchase is covered by Apple’s own privacy policy.
• Payment processing (Stripe), for purchases made on our website. Stripe handles your payment details directly; we never see or store your full card number.
• AI providers. To generate and match plans we send relevant, non-identifying inputs (such as your preferences and constraints) to AI providers. We do not send your name or email for this purpose.
• Recipe providers. Recipes and photos are sourced from third-party recipe data providers.
• Grocery export. When you send a grocery list to Instacart, the list items you choose — ingredient names, quantities, and units — are shared so the cart can be built. We never send your name or email. Because we may earn a commission on orders (see our Terms), the link we hand you also carries a random account identifier so the referral can be credited to us through Impact.com, our affiliate-tracking provider; it is not your name or email, and Instacart cannot look you up by it.
• Infrastructure. Data is stored with our hosting and database providers under their security controls.

Cookies and advertising

We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and PostHog product analytics to understand how Live Better AI is used and to measure how our advertising performs. These load when you visit the site.

You can turn them off at any time: choose Cookie settingsin the footer of any page and select “Decline.” We remember that choice on your device, and while it is set, no advertising or analytics cookies are written and the Meta Pixel is never loaded. You can change your mind again from the same place.

If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we ask first: nothing loads until you choose “Accept” on the banner. We do the same whenever we cannot tell where a visit is coming from.

Some conversion events (such as a purchase) are also sent to Meta from our servers, not just from your browser. These server events honor the same consent choice — if you declined cookies, nothing is sent — and identifying fields such as your email are hashed before they leave, per Meta’s specification.

Data shared with Meta through the pixel is also governed by Meta’s own privacy policy.

Product analytics

We use PostHog, a product-analytics service, to understand how Live Better AI is used in our app and on our website — events such as screens viewed, recipes swiped, and plans built. These events are tied to a pseudonymous user ID, never to your name or email. This is first-party analytics run under our own account: it is not used for advertising, it does not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell or share this data with data brokers.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely and access is restricted. Each account can only see its own data. We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time — account deletion is available in your settings, and you can also contact us at support@livebetterai.com. Deleting your account removes your profile, plans, and uploaded content.

One exception: if you have a live App Store subscription, deletion is blocked until you cancel it. We cannot cancel an Apple subscription for you, and deleting the account would leave Apple billing you for something you can no longer reach. Cancel in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions, then delete.
