Welcome to Live Better AI (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Live Better AI, you agree to these Terms of Service.

What Live Better AI is

Live Better AI is a meal-planning service. It builds weekly meal plans from real recipes, scales them to your household, and produces a consolidated grocery list you can export or send to an online grocery service. Recipes are written and maintained by Live Better AI. Many began as recipes from third-party recipe providers or from public domain sources and have been rewritten and edited by us; nutrition figures are estimates.

Not medical or nutritional advice

Live Better AI is a planning tool, not a substitute for professional medical, dietary, or nutritional advice. Calorie, macro, and other nutrition figures are estimates and may be inaccurate. Always verify ingredients against your own allergies and dietary needs before cooking or eating, and consult a qualified professional for medical or dietary decisions.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your account secure. You must be at least 13 to use Live Better AI, with or without an account. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you may use Live Better AI only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms for you. An adult may include children in a household meal plan. Children under 13 do not use Live Better AI on their own. If you use Live Better AI without an account, your data is tied to your device, and we may delete guest data that has not been used for 90 days.

Price

Live Better AI is free to use. We do not sell subscriptions, and the service does not ask for a payment method. We may earn a commission when you order groceries on the Instacart service through Live Better AI; it does not change the price you pay. If we ever offer a paid feature, we will tell you before anything costs money.

If you bought a subscription before Live Better AI became free

A subscription you bought before keeps the terms you bought it under until you cancel it or it ends.

On our website. A subscription bought on our website before Live Better AI became free is billed through our payment processor, Stripe. Cancel in your account settings, under Billing, on our website. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

Your content and uploads

You may upload images (for example, of your fridge or a receipt) and import recipes. You are responsible for the content you provide and confirm you have the right to use it. We process these inputs only to provide the service.

Third-party services

Live Better AI works with third parties to deliver its features, including recipe providers, an online grocery-ordering integration, Apple’s App Store, Google Play, and AI providers that process content you choose to upload or import. Your use of any third-party service reached through Live Better AI is governed by that service’s own terms.

Recipe photos

Recipe photographs for our own recipes, in the app and on this website, are created by Live Better AI, using image generation tools, to show the dish as the recipe describes it. A recipe you import keeps the photograph from its source. If you ask us to make a photo for one of your own recipes, we send that recipe’s name and its ingredient list to an image provider and make a picture in the Live Better AI style. That picture belongs to your recipe. It is yours to remove at any time, it never appears on our own recipe pages, and it is not shown to anyone else unless you choose to share it. It shows a dish the way the recipe describes it, and it does not certify quantities, nutrition or cooking safety.

If you use your own photo, we store it privately with your recipe until you remove it or delete your account. The recipe text, ingredients and nutrition are not changed by a photograph. We keep a record of each photograph’s origin and of how it was made.

Affiliate links and trademarks

When you send your grocery list to Instacart from Live Better AI, we may earn a commission if you place an order, at no extra cost to you. This affiliate relationship does not change the price you pay or the recipes and quantities we recommend.

Instacart® is a registered trademark of Maplebear Inc. d/b/a Instacart. Live Better AI is an independent service and is not endorsed by or affiliated with Instacart beyond the grocery-ordering integration described above.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no attempts to break security, scrape at scale, resell access, or interfere with other users. We may suspend accounts that do.

Security research that follows the rules on our Security page is not misuse, and we will not suspend or close an account for it.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Live Better AI is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, or for decisions made in reliance on nutrition estimates, recipe data, or grocery quantities.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will tell you about a material change before it takes effect, and the “Last updated” date above shows the current version.
